To See Your Goodness at All Times

God of All Goodness,
You are good, all the time. We believe it because we know it’s true, but in practice we easily shift our eyes away from all the good you are accomplishing and focus on all that is wicked and wrong in the world. Remind us that you have overcome the world, and that your will and your ways always prevail. Fill our hearts daily with gratitude, so that it shapes and influences the way we see things, and we become more and more aware of your goodness all around us and for us. Our lives will have ups and downs, celebrations and frustrations, but your goodness is constant. Therefore, make us confident at all times and in all situations that you really will bring good out of everything for all your people, including me. 

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

To Provide Care for Those Unable to Provide It for Themselves

Gracious Father,
Come to the aid of those struggling to care for themselves. Extend your loving providence to those unable to function independently, whether mentally or physically. Do not allow them to be overlooked, neglected, or forgotten by society. Regardless of what led to their current status and situation, provide family members or other caregivers to meet their needs. Make the necessary means and resources available to them so they lack nothing. Bless those who provide such care to those in need, and move those on the receiving end of their care to express gratitude and thanks both to their caregivers and to you, the gracious Provider of all.
