DAILY PRAYERS FOR GUYS

To Be Well Read and Ready With Your Word

Loving Savior,
The times we feel ready and well-prepared to speak your Word to others may not always align with their willingness or readiness to hear it. On the other hand, others may approach us with questions or challenges regarding your Word, and we find ourselves caught off guard or at a loss. When you encourage us to be prepared with your Word in season and out of season, it calls for us to be ready at all times, so that we never miss an opportunity to sow the seed of your Word. For us to be ready with your Word, we first have to be in your Word. Weave your Word into our lives daily, so there is no hesitation to share it whenever the opportunity arises. Release us from the pressure of expectations or outcomes, relying entirely on your Spirit to work through Scripture according to his plan, not ours – for our confidence is not grounded in ourselves, but in you and the mighty power of your Word.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

DAILY PRAYERS FOR GUYS

To Be Your Witness

Savior of All,
It isn’t complicated. I know my salvation. Countless others do not. Make me a witness. Present me with opportunities to point others to Jesus that are so undeniable and unavoidable that I absolutely cannot help but speak up, no matter how timid I might otherwise be. Then, open my mouth! Send your Spirit to cover me with courage, confidence, compassion, and clarity, so that I both honor you in how I make you known and pave the path by which your Spirit may allow the seeds of faith to germinate. Afterward, cause my heart to soar, not merely based on the outcome or results, which you alone are responsible for, but simply at the privilege of getting to make you known! Let such experiences continually kindle in me an increasing desire to be eager to evangelize.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

DAILY PRAYERS FOR GUYS

For All Who Seek Jesus to Also Share Jesus

Light of the World,
On this day of Epiphany, we reflect on the wise men who journeyed to worship the Savior. At some point, in some way, the news about the birth of the Savior had reached their ears and touched their hearts. That wonderful message was shared with them. Undoubtedly, upon returning to their own country and people, they shared not only stories of their travels with others, but also the news that a Savior for all people had been born. Like the angels and shepherds before them, they couldn’t help but make known to others this life-changing news. Lead all who seek the Savior also to share him. Use me to make known to others the life-changing news that a Savior has come into the world – a Savior for all people. Rather than assuming everyone already knows this, which is simply untrue, help me live as if they don’t, so that I approach my interactions with others as if I cannot wait to share something amazing with them.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
