For Exhausted Parents
Loving Father,
Children are a tremendous blessing from you and one of the most wonderful undeserved gifts of all. Raising them well is no small task! Since the responsibility of parenting can be so exhausting, especially for first-time parents, I ask you to provide worn-out parents with relief. Give peaceful rest to those lacking good sleep because they have been up around the clock. Grant patience to those dealing with challenging children and discipline frustrations. Provide perseverance and determination to parents tending to sick children or having to navigate unique medical situations. Bring fathers and mothers together as a team, not only to provide solid parenting, but just as importantly, to provide loving support for each other. Where single parents don’t have that blessing, lead friends and family members to see their needs and offer assistance. While physical and emotional rest are essential for tired parents, Lord, there is no greater need or blessing than the spiritual rest they can find in you alone. Lead them regularly to that rest.
