To Watch Over Our Young People
Good Shepherd,
Stay close to the sheep of your flock who are young. Daily they face many dangers and distractions. Some are physical and emotional, like threats of violence and bullying at school. They face academic and athletic pressure that weighs heavily on them. Other threats are spiritual, including struggles with sin, doubts about you or your Word, or negative peer pressure to hide or diminish their faith. Social media, foul language in music, and shows that celebrate sin shape and influence their minds and thinking in ways they don’t yet understand. Protect them, Lord. Guard and keep them. Lead their parents and other caring Christian adults to be vigilant in watching out for them and steering them in the right direction. Feed their faith so that they may flourish and never forsake you.
